I like the shatter look and find it's an easy way to dress up a boring colour or cover a chipped mani. I bought this colour as the two pack because it was on sale. However,I really just wanted Rally Pretty Pink. For me, red, tends to be a take it or leave it type of colour. Most times I choose to leave it. Or choose it only for toes.
The formula for Red Shatter was thin and very easy to apply. Shattering began almost immediately after applied. I love that in a shatter. The shatter lines were thin and not clumped together. Which is what I hope for, when I apply any colour shatter.
I used Red Shatter over Pink Friday and was very happy with the look. Red Shatter is one of those colours that's difficult to pair. It does not show well over dark colours, and there are only a few light colours that look good with this vibrant red.
I love the formula and wish every shatter I bought worked as well as this one. I wish I could say that I will be using it again but it's not likely it's just too red for my liking.
i bought this for fourth of july last year and i loove it!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment! What a great idea for the 4th of July. I'm Canadian, so we don't celebrate the 4th, but I'm definitely keeping this in mind for Canada Day on July 1st.
DeleteI definitely diasagree that it doesn't show under dark colors, I wore it with dark gray and brown and it looks fantastic!
ReplyDeleteNice idea with the pink though.
I never thought to try with grey, that sounds like a great combo!
