Fly is described as "I came to win, to fight ...and to wear this aqua" by O.P.I.
Fly is one of 6 in the Nicki Minaj Collection by O.P.I. The collection consist of 3 cremes (Fly, Pink Friday, Did It On 'Em), 2 metallics (Metallic 4 Life, Save Me) and one shimmer shatter (Super Bass).
The colour is a bright teal creme that dries to a wonderful glossy sheen. I found the formula to be thin and needed a full three coats to reach opacity. The drying time on this formula was amazing. I had fully dry un-smudgable nails in no time! I wore this colour for 3 days without any chips or tip wear. Day four, I noticed tips wear and got some large chips. I should also mention this colour will dye nails blue if you don't use a good base coat!
I was super excited for this collection to come out but I'm finding that Fly kinda leaves me feeling meh. It's pretty but it's got no oomph. It's Nicki Minaj, I was expecting glitter, shimmer and halo's all over the place! I still have high hopes for the rest of the collection so let's cross our fingers.

DeleteI really love Fly but i used it with out a basecoat (i know bad idea) and it stained my nails a lovely shade of blue/green
ReplyDeleteArgh, I hate when my nails gets stained! I heard using a buffing block or sticking your finger tips in a lemons helps take away some of the colour
